Tatyana Polyanskaya and Marina Kibizova are the creative minds behind BURO POLKI, a studio whose name is elegantly formed from the initials of their surnames. Both received their education and gained valuable professional experience abroad, but their paths crossed in Moscow—at the renowned "Detalі" design school, the alma mater of many Russian designers. Their first joint project was completed in 2017, and its success inspired them to continue working together as partners. Today, they share a passion for refined architectural spaces, a clear vision of design trends, and a deep understanding of styles and the principles of color theory. At BURO POLKI, the team creates signature interiors that seamlessly blend vintage furniture, works of contemporary artists and unique artifacts. They value layered design, the fusion of styles, and the "dialogue" between objects from different eras. This approach results in elegant, modern-classical interiors that remain both functional and harmonious in form.
I was born in Saint Petersburg and have lived in several countries before settling in Moscow with my family. Decorating my own apartment opened up a wonderful new world of design for me, where creativity, logical thinking and attention to detail came together.
For me, interior design is the art of balance: between past and present, functionality and elegance, individuality and timeless forms. Each project transforms into a space that inspires, delights, and reflects the personality of its owners.
